What to Wear

For your 1st lesson it is advised to wear long comfortable trousers with stretch and a top that covers the arms but allows you to move freely.

Boots with a flat sole and a small heel are essential and a pair of gloves give you more support on the reins. Hats are available for the lessons.

Jodhpurs, boots and your own hat are recommended if you are going to ride regularly. Hats must conform to the current safety standards.

As from January 1st 2016 all riding hats must conform to the following standards - CLICK HERE FOR FULL DETAILS AND GUIDELINES

Tinsleys Riding School Clapham Bedfordshire In February this year I took part in the Horse Scheme taster week and following that I was lucky enough to be able to take Polly on the scheme. This scheme is a fantastic way of riding more and having some responsibility for a horse but all within the security of the expertise of Neil and Sue. And of course I still have my weekly lesson to look forward to! I have no hesitation in recommending Tinsleys: once you try riding lessons here you will be hooked - C G Tinsleys Riding School Clapham Bedfordshire
